A lot has happened since we last met in Perth for IMC-12. Although the past few years have been marked by unexpected challenges, the international community of mammalogists remains vibrant and dedicated to advancing knowledge of our favorite clade of vertebrates. These efforts are more important than ever due to accelerating global rates of environmental change and habitat loss. IMC-13 will provide a critical forum for the international exchange of new information and ideas regarding mammals – their evolutionary history, their current diversity, and their conservation for the future. I hope that you will join us in Anchorage, Alaska from 14 to 20 July 2023 to celebrate these amazing animals and the researchers who study them.
